New Delhi, 18th Feb. Shri Narendra Modi expressed his deep grief when Jain seer Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj achieved Samadhi. PM Modi stated that the death of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj was an irreparable loss to the country.
The Prime Minister also stated that Acharya Ji’s valuable efforts for promoting spiritual awakening among the populace will be forever remembered. Throughout his life, he remained committed to poverty alleviation and promoting health and education in the society.
The Prime Minister also recalled his meeting with Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj last year at Chandragiri Jain Temple in Chhattisgarh and stated that the meeting will be unforgettable for him.
In a post, the Prime Minister stated that
“The demise of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj is an irreparable loss for the country. His valuable efforts for spiritual awakening among the people will always be remembered. Throughout his life he remained engaged in poverty alleviation as well as promoting health and education in the society. It is my good fortune that I continue to receive his blessings. My meeting with him last year at Chandragiri Jain Temple in Chhattisgarh will be unforgettable for me. Then I received a lot of love and blessings from Acharya ji. His unmatched contribution to the society will continue to inspire every generation of the country.”

Who was Jain muni Acharya Vidhyasagar Maharaj?
Acharya Vidhyasagar Maharaj was a very well-known saint in the Digambar Jain community.
He was known for his outstanding scholarly pursuits and profound spiritual wisdom.
Acharya Vidhyasagar Maharaj was born in Sadalga in Karnataka on October 10, 1946. He was a spiritual person from a young age.
