New Delhi, 26th July: Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh on Saturday said the Centre remains committed to engaging with employee organisations through regular dialogue and constructive consultations, asserting that transparent governance has helped resolve service-related grievances pending for nearly three decades.
Interacting with a 12-member delegation of the Bhartiya Postal Employees Federation (BPEF), affiliated with the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), at his official residence in New Delhi, the minister said the government’s emphasis on transparency, accountability and employee welfare has transformed grievance redressal into a key pillar of public administration.
Dr. Singh said several long-pending service-related issues that had remained unresolved for 25 to 30 years have been addressed through timely decision-making, administrative reforms and rule-based governance.
The delegation, led by BPEF General Secretary Ananta Kumar Pal, included representatives from Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and several other states. They discussed a wide range of issues concerning postal employees, including service matters, employee welfare, recognition-related issues and the need for expeditious resolution of pending administrative and legal cases.
The minister assured the delegation that every genuine representation is examined on merit and in accordance with established rules and procedures. He noted that issues involving multiple ministries and departments require wider institutional consultations to ensure legally sound, transparent and sustainable outcomes.
Dr. Singh also encouraged employee representatives to continue submitting documented suggestions and feedback to strengthen governance and improve public service delivery.
Members of the federation appreciated the government’s focus on administrative reforms and acknowledged that several service-related grievances pending for decades had received focused attention in recent years. They said improvements in grievance redressal mechanisms, transparency and administrative responsiveness have enhanced employees’ confidence in the system.
The delegation also commended the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for promoting transparent, accountable and citizen-centric governance through administrative reforms and institutional capacity building.
Thanking Dr. Jitendra Singh for maintaining an open and consultative approach with employee organisations, the representatives expressed confidence that the government would continue addressing legitimate employee concerns while strengthening employee welfare, administrative efficiency and good governance across the country.
