    Dubai, 14th March: A building in Dubai’s financial district was struck by debris from an intercepted aerial attack, marking the second such incident in less than 24 hours as tensions continue to escalate in the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.

    According to the Dubai Media Office, debris from a successfully intercepted projectile struck the façade of a building in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) on Friday.

    “Authorities confirmed that the incident caused by debris from a successful interception, which struck the facade of a building in central Dubai, has been fully contained,” the office said in a post on social media platform X.

    Officials confirmed that no fire broke out and no injuries were reported in the incident.

    An AFP correspondent at the scene reported visible damage to the building’s façade after hearing loud explosions earlier in the day.

    Witnesses in the area described the impact as extremely loud. “I jumped out of bed—that was the loudest sound I’ve ever heard,” a resident living near the site told AFP, adding that the ground shook and buildings rattled after what sounded like a double blast.

    The incident comes as the regional conflict enters its 15th day, raising concerns about the spillover of attacks beyond immediate conflict zones.

    In a separate development linked to the tensions, a drone struck the US Embassy complex in Baghdad, according to Iraqi security officials. An AFP journalist reported seeing smoke rising from the embassy compound after the attack.

    Security sources also said that two members of the Iran-backed group Kataeb Hezbollah were killed in targeted strikes, including what officials described as a key figure within the organisation.

    According to reports, a missile hit a house being used by the group early Saturday morning, while another missile reportedly struck a helipad inside the US Embassy compound in Baghdad.
