New Delhi, 12th Jan. A 19-year-old woman was found with multiple injuries on her body in the Mayur Vihar area of east Delhi, according to the police on Thursday.
The woman has been admitted to LNJP hospital, where her condition is reported to be critical.
A call was received at 9 am reporting a girl lying in a pool near the Fire Brigade Office in Chilla village, said a police officer.
A team quickly arrived at the scene and found the woman lying in a park.
She was found in a pool with multiple injuries on her body and face.
Initial investigation revealed that the woman lives nearby, and her family has been notified.
Police suspect that she was brutally assaulted before being abandoned in the park.
A case of attempted murder has been registered, and a team has been assembled to investigate the incident, stated another official.
